September 24 – September 30
There was always something in concrete that interested me. This is a material that is malleable and looks like stone. You can easily mix it with yourself, and it can happen for centuries. Think of the Coliseum! From the very beginning, I felt a real attachment to concrete, and this has been my main artistic tool for over 15 years. It was an ideal environment for developing images and drawings that were captured on the pages of my art magazines. Concrete helped bring these images into the "real world" where the Garden Keepers were born.
I create unique concrete products of handwork and stucco decoration. My planters, sculptures, and tablets are designed to celebrate, attract, and remind us all of our natural state of joy and wonder. Recently, I started working on a new line of two-dimensional wall reliefs, and I am pleased to present them in September on Main Art Hill. Hope to see you there.
McCaffrey will show his work at Pop Up on Maine Art Hill at 5 Chase Hill Rd. in Kennebank from September 24 to 30. The gallery is open every day at 10 a.m. For more information about McCaffrey and her work, follow this link to her website. Guardians of the Garden
